Jenny

I don't know why we named you Jenny
I guess we loved the name
But if we had named you Hucklebert
I'd still love you just the same

I remember well your birthday
And when we brought you home
A darling, smiling baby girl
Who well deserves this poem

I always called you Bunny
I don't exactly remember why
But I really do remember
You are the apple of my eye

Remember when I took your picture
With your pacifier in your mouth
Referring to it as your 'plug'
That photo still adorns my house

Now you're all grown and gone
And no longer on my knee
But you're still my darling, baby girl
And you will always be!

I love you, Jen!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Dad

Dedicated to my baby girl who is no longer
a baby to the world but is still to me.
