Struck in Place

You were gliding through the halls of school;
An ethereal goddess with golden-yellow hair;
Two expressive eyes of darkened brown,
And a perfect body so maiden-fair.

I fell in love with you almost instantly
As The Thunderbolt mightily hit;
My pounding heart nearly quit its beat,
And my flustered brain began to quit.

You were simply so stunning, Baby,
That my breath was taken away;
I stood helplessly frozen and gawking,
As you suddenly glanced my way.

I nearly fainted as your eyes met mine,
A smile forming on your exquisite face;
Two scrumptiously soft lips said 'Hello'
As I imagined us locked in embrace.

I mumbled something really stupid in return;
I don't remember what,
Except your wonderfully radiant smile
Was so very kind and affectionate.

When I finally regained some of my control,
I realized that you had gone;
But...I knew right then, Baby,
I'd be with you 'til forever on.
