There can never be an IF alive in love
For true love must be unconditional
And can't be tailored to conform to a glove
It must be gentle and not adversarial
I love you IF cannot be allowed to exist
Between two lovers sworn to their love
As that IF will continually hiss
Like a snake and not coo as a dove
Their sweet love will then be poisoned
By the vicious bite of a crawling beast
Who delights in destroying the reasons
That true love is so precious and sweet
Their sweet love will then gradually wither
And fall dead from the tree of love
Plunge to the ground in a blithering dither
And be buried in the Sea of Should've
So never allow that filthy beast
To poison your nest of sweet love
Always remember that love so sweet
Is a precious gift straight from above
