DRIFT AWAY TO DREAMLAND
Let's drift away, let's drift away
we'll drift away to dreamland,
Close your eyes, no need for sighs
as we drift away to dreamland.
Come sail with me upon a sea
as smooth as milk or honey can be,
together we'll flee, totally free
as we drift away to dreamland.
Follow me at the end of the day
to sail across the milky way,
I'll set the sails so you can play
as we drift away to dreamland.
We'll fly sky high, sail over the moon
the sleepy sandman will follow soon,
and angels will croon a lullaby tune
as we drift away to dreamland
We'll sail amongst the flowering stars
pick the prettiest, both near and far,
then stay together wherever we are
as we drift away to dreamland
Come lay by me so you will see
how beautiful a dream can be,
hold on to the dream, my only plea
as we drift away to dreamland.
Let's drift away, let's drift away
let's drift away to dreamland,
we'll open the door and touch the shore
together we'll drift to dreamland.
