Detective Bombay of Starlite Cafe



Detective Bombay roams the net by day
and prowls the Starlite by night;
Looking for the clues and finding the signs
of the poets' various appetites.

Who is with whom?
What are they doing?
Who spent the night?
Who is pursuing?


Detective Bombay must gather the 'facts'
even if the conclusions are wrong.
For who really cares about the real truth
as long as Bombay can pipe out a song!

A song of gossip spews from Bombay's lips
accusing and spreading the word.
Hideous words of mistrust and deceit
where truth is constantly slurred.


So be careful poets of Starlite
as you write and hustle about!
Cuz Detective Bombay is watching you
and to the world will shout!
